The Georgia Potlickers is an old-time stringband from North Georgia. The band features a trio of very talented musicians who are deeply rooted in American traditional music. As The Georgia Potlickers, these guys breath new life into the traditional Southern stringband instrumentals and songs. Their music covers everything from the raucous fiddle and banjo tunes of their home state of Georgia to the ballads and frontier songs of the entire Appalachian and Piedmont regions. Also, the band draws much influence and material from both the 19th century Minstrel and early Tin Pan Alley eras. In addition to this, they have been known to slip in an original piece or two per show. Drawing inspiration from that vast body of early American traditional roots music, The Georgia Potlickers provide their audiences with music that will leave a lasting impression.
